Past to Possibilities
Turning where you have been into a direction for where you are going.
The past is part of the story. It does not have to become the destination.
Past to Possibilities is a guided future planning workshop that helps participants reflect on where they are, explore what their future could look like, identify barriers and resources, and begin creating practical next steps toward what comes next.
The participant is the one doing the work
Tony shares a small amount of his own story to create context, trust, and connection. From there, the focus turns to the people in the room and what they are building. Participants work through a guided packet and leave with something they wrote themselves.
Three phases, in order
Connect
Tony briefly shares relevant pieces of his story and the lessons that helped him begin seeing a different future. Enough to build trust and show that the conversation is coming from somewhere real, not a lecture from the outside.
Explore
Participants work through the Past to Possibilities packet and explore their strengths, interests, values, circumstances, challenges, possibilities, and goals. This is the longest stretch of the session.
Build
Participants begin turning those ideas into a future vision, practical direction, and next steps they can actually take. The session ends with something written down, not just something felt.
A personal future planning tool built around the participant’s own life
The packet is the center of the workshop. It is not a worksheet to fill in and hand back. It is a working document participants keep, and several sections are designed to be revisited long after the session ends.
Everyone works on their own page, about their own life.
No two packets look alike when the session ends. That is the point.
A clearer destination and the beginning of a plan
Participants leave with more than encouragement. They leave with a clearer destination and the beginning of a plan for moving toward it.
Past to Possibilities does not promise a job, a placement, or a specific outcome. What it offers is a clearer picture, a written vision, and a next step the participant chose for themselves.
It can stand alone, or it can go further
Past to Possibilities works as a single workshop. Organizations that want the work to continue can choose a deeper format.
Standalone Workshop
A focused introductory experience. Participants complete the packet and leave with a written vision and a next step.
Follow Up Visit
A return session focused on progress, challenges, accountability, lessons learned, and refining next steps.
Six Week Intensive
A deeper multi session experience that gives participants more time to strengthen their plans, examine barriers, build practical tools, and continue moving forward.
Groups navigating a major transition
Delivered with directness and without condescension, adapted to the setting and the population in the room.
The past is part of the story.
Tell us who you serve, what they are navigating, and what you are hoping they walk away with. We will recommend the format that fits.
